Tassos Kilimiris

1928 - 2018

 

Tassos Kilimiris a highly respected senior partner and one of the pillars of our firm passed away on 27 May 2018.

​

Tassos was born on January 1, 1928 in Andritsaina, Peloponnese and came to Athens to study law in 1946. He served the legal profession in Greece for over 55 years, dedicating his entire professional life to the practice of Intellectual Property Law, providing strategic IP protection, enforcement advice and expertise to global clients. He was one of the few lawyers in Greece who was honored by the Athens Bar Association for serving the legal profession for more than fifty years. 

 

His dedication, knowledge and passion for IP law have made a significant impact on the development of Greek IP Law and Case Law. Together with his beloved wife, Anna Patrinos they took over a small law firm, which was founded in 1919 by Anna's uncle, and made Patrinos & Kilimiris one of the leading IP Law firms in Greece.

 

Tassos was a member of several professional organizations such as FICPI, AIPPI, MARQUES, ECTA, INTA and the European Patent Institute representing Greece at meetings and ExCos either as a delegate or a member of these boards.

He will be sadly missed but his memory will always be a part of our lives.
